Trust Registration

A Non Government Organization is registered as a Trust under Indian Trust Act 1882. It takes a time period of 15-20 days roughly for the registration of Trust from the date of filing of the application. Minimum 3 members are required in the formation of trust. For ngo registration in delhi, one has to provide one member from Delhi with Aadhar Card along with one address proof either electricity bill or water bill of any authorized area in Delhi. Rest 2 members can be from any portion of India. At the time of registration, 2 photographs and address proofs of all the members are required. Voter id card, passport, driving license or aadhar card can be submitted as an address proof.
Further, at the time of registration, two members are required for witness who must have aadhar card from Delhi. The Trust can work in entire India. A Trust is advantageous at the point that a family member can also be a member of Trust.
A trustee is required to uphold a strong level of integrity and impartiality in conducting his duties. Generally, a trustee is not allowed to benefit or profit from his position unless the trust document specifically allows for payments to the trustee for providing services. All persons who have attained 18 years of age and have subscribed to the aims and objects of the Trust subject to the approval of the Governing Body will be entitled to be its Trustees. The decision of the Governing body in this regard are final and binding. The Trustees shall be accountable only for such moneys, and funds, which will actually come into their hands. The Trustees are not be entitled to receive any profit, but the Trustee may reimburse themselves all expenses actually incurred by them in connection with the Trust or their duties relating thereto. A trustee may be terminated from the trust on death, written resignation,, unsound mind or if the member is found to be involved in any anti social activities or has not attended three consecutive meetings of the Governing Body without information or if the Trustee is requested to resign by two-third or as near thereto possible of the remaining trustees. There is one member as the Managing Trustee of the trust. The Managing Trustee will is at liberty for the time being to appoint additional trustee within the number mentioned above for such period or on such terms as to retirement and re-appointment as the trustees for the time being consider proper.
Trust can permit its beneficiaries to elect committee or committees from among themselves for the smooth and efficient running of any particular branch of its activities. They can form rules and regulations for that particular branch under the given condition. The managing committee may according to such terms and condition as it shall decide from time to time admit as patrons those persons who are likely to help in furthering the objective and causes of the trust either through their professional knowledge and experience and /or through financial assistance.
The objectives a charitable trust are to do social and economic upliftment of the downtrodden people of the society. The basic goals of Trust are : –
1. To improve cultural, educational and social condition of the people, undertake multidisciplinary programs and work for democracy, good governance, realisation of human rights, international peace, justice and cooperation.
2. To work for the eradication of corruption in our country India. To organize seminars and meetings to expose the corrupt people in the country and educate the youth about honesty and integrity so that we are able to build a better society.
3. To work for the rehabilitation of beggars in India. To help them to lead a better life and leave begging and bring them to the mainstream society. To free young children who has been trafficked illegally into the dark world of begging.
4. To do such programs which helps in education people about the black money of India present in foreign banks and bring out campaigns which helps to bring back the black money into India.
